Greetings Friends and Ministry Partners,

The past two months have been light with only three seminars, but God worked in the hearts of those who attended. One seminar was in conjunction with Forgiven Ministry One Day with God Camps. We witnessed twenty-five individuals pray to receive Christ and eleven more renew their walk. We have started up two new Holistic Hardware Classes at Kershaw and Tyger River Correctional Institutions. We are also conducting a Bible Study at Avery Mitchell Correctional Institution. We are talking to the Associate Warden and Chaplain about starting two courses in their facility in Columbia. We are looking at conducting Great Dads Seminars starting in December and continuing with one approximately every ten weeks.  Holistic Hardware as needed for men being released in approximately ninety days.

We attended a banquet October 23rd to honor a few upstate ministries including Blue Ridge Ministries. That was an exceptionally GOOD DAY not due to the recognition, but because of what happen at the end of the banquet.

I had a young man approach me and ask if I remembered him. He looked familiar but I wasn’t sure.  Then he told me part of his story. He was in a Great Dads Seminar I conducted in 2008 at an institution in the lower part of the state. He has been
out for two years, has a job connected with a church in the area where he lives and that’s all good. I asked if his children were living with him and he said no, but he had very liberal visitation privileges. Then he shared the part that blew me away. He said his ex-wife and her husband moved to area where he lives in order for him to be able to spend more time with his children. IS OUR GOD NOT AWESOME? PRAISE HIM, PRAISE HIM!!!!! This answered a question we all ask from time to time if our efforts are working, and I think stories like this answer that question.

I first want to thank you for your prayers and support this year to help us reach men and their families with the Gospel through Seminars and Life Skill Classes.

As we begin to look at 2013 and the opportunities God is bringing our way I am going to need your support even more. Please pray and seek God’s will for what He would have you do in 2013. If you intend to make an end of the year donation would you prayerfully consider Blue Ridge Ministries? Also, we need one hundred individuals to commit to fifty dollars each month or fifty who would commit to one hundred dollars a month through 2013. This need is in addition to the present support we now have. This will help us reach our budget for 2013 and be able to provide the material necessary for the training provided through Blue Ridge Ministries.

You can check the website at www.blueridgeministries.org for ways to give and for a schedule of upcoming events.

Board Members, Thanks for your faithful support and service.

In His Service,

Jim Williams

 So shall My word be which goes forth from My
mouth;

It shall not return to Me empty,

Without accomplishing what I desire,

And without succeeding in the matter
for which I sent it.
